Business in the Community

BWG Foods are proud to work with Business in the Community, a dedicated network for responsible business in Ireland. Business in the Community was founded in 2000 and is a national non-profit organisation whose vision is quite simple. It is to have all businesses in Ireland responsible and sustainable. The patron is Michael D.Higgins, President of Ireland. At BWG Foods we focus on the Schools’ Business Partnership. This is an education inclusion programme that partners secondary schools with business. The aim of which is to reach a higher rate of school completion and to enhance the educational experience for students, principals and teachers.

Over the last number of years, BWG Foods has been partnered with Drimnagh Castle secondary school. In addition to providing a support in terms of the students’ progression from school to working life, our association with Drimnagh Castle has been enriching for many within BWG Foods who have contributed to the programme. Through our association with Business in the Community we also seek to arrange work placements for students within our retail estate.
