Limerick Value Centre has received a €250,000 investment from owners BWG Foods to undertake a significant refurbishment of the premises, scheduled to be completed in September this year.
As part of the refurbishment, there will be a new customer entrance as well as a complete refresh and rebranding both inside and out. The cash & carry will also be leading the way with sophisticated new category management and planograms, which will result in more efficient and effective use of space and practical benefits for staff and customers with enhanced range and improved visibility of products including best sellers and special offers.
Speaking about the investment John Moane, Managing Director of BWG Wholesale Division said: “The Limerick site is an important strategic location in BWG’s country-wide Value Centre network, servicing key geographical areas in the South West. We are constantly investing in upgrading the network, in order that it remains leading edge and relevant to customers, and we identified Limerick as a suitable location for a refurbishment at this time.”
Branch Manager Garry O’Callaghan added, “This upgrade project is very exciting for us and hopefully demonstrates our commitment to the local community, investing and working with local suppliers to support employment in the area. When we re-launch in September, customers can expect a refreshed and improved layout, increased range, and more easy identification of promotional offers. Customers will also benefit from better value for money on our extensive own brand ranges – Family Value and Chef’s Kitchen – delivering every day low prices.”
Located on Careys Road, Value Centre Limerick caters for retail, licensed and hospitality customers and employs 14 staff locally. Long established in the local area, this successful outlet has serviced the local population for more than three decades.
With 22 branches in locations across Ireland, Value Centre is the leading cash & carry wholesaler with the largest network in Ireland. BWG Wholesale is a division of BWG Foods and is comprised of Value Centre, XL retail group as well as BWG Foodservice – a nationwide, multi-temperature, full-line foodservice business.
