EUROSPAR officially opened its doors to Gortahork and the surrounding community today celebrating with a two day in-store event for customers. The celebrations include food tastings and a live Highland Radio broadcast on location along with a special appearance from Donegal’s All-Ireland winning brothers, Eamon and Neil McGee.
Features of the new supermarket include a Tim Hortons coffee shop, a delicious bakery – Baker’s Tray, a full Butchery counter, full off-licence, and an in-store sit down area. The new supermarket will also offer an extensive selection of the great value own brand range.
Speaking at the opening, supermarket owner, Pat McClafferty said: “We are very excited to be opening this brand new local supermarket. The opening celebration gives us a great opportunity to showcase our extensive offering, as well as meet our new customers and friends. In addition to serving the people of Donegal, we also endeavour to support local producers as best we can, and we hope people will come down and sample what’s on offer”.
Managing Director at BWG Foods (owners and operators of the EUROSPAR brand in Ireland) Willie O’Byrne said: “We are delighted to welcome the McClafferty family to the EUROSPAR family. We know their store will deliver great service and quality to the community as well as value for money and we wish the McClafferty family great success as the newest member of the EUROSPAR network”.
EUROSPAR Gortahork will provide employment for 50 staff locally and is open Monday – Friday 8am – 9pm and Saturday and Sunday 8am – 8pm.
