Talty’s MACE Lissycasey celebrates 40 years in business

Rugby legend Alan Quinlan joined members of the Clare hurling team for a day of celebrations in Talty’s MACE, Lissycasey.
With a balloon modeller, face painting, a children’s magician and free refreshments for all, it was a ‘Family Fun Day’ to remember.
Even the McCarthy cup was there to be part of Talty’s MACE Lissycasey’s 40th birthday celebration.
The Talty family said they wanted to share their anniversary milestone with their loyal customers to thank them for all their support over the years.
Willie O’Byrne Managing Director, BWG Foods (owners and operators of the MACE brand in Ireland) said: “I’d like to congratulate TJ, Marie, Cathal, Grainne and all the team at MACE Lissycasey on reaching their 40th anniversary. It’s a testament to the fantastic service, quality and value for money MACE Lissycasey offers to the community.”
Talty’s MACE Lissycasey provides employment for 25 staff locally and is open from 7am to 9pm. The store was first opened on Good Friday in 1974 by TJ and Marie Talty as a grocery and hardware store and has gone through significant revamps over the years, increasing the floor size, adding to the range of product offering which includes an off licence, a hot and cold deli and a seated area. Talty’s MACE Lissycasey has received numerous awards over the years including an Irish Forecourt and Convenience Retailer Award in 2012, and was recently awarded a MACE Excellence Award.
