New DVD vending machines stocked with 300 of the latest releases make enjoying movies easier than ever
30 October 2013: Great nights in just got even easier – SPAR and EUROSPAR have teamed up with Xtra-Vision to launch VDV vending machines.
The cutting-edge machines, each stocked with 300 of the latest releases, will start off in 20 stores across Dublin, Kildare, Louth and Meath.
They’re simple to use – customers just insert their bank cards and follow the simple steps on screen.
Each rental costs just €2.99 per night and the first movie is free, and no membership is needed.
The selection of movies in the machines, on DVD and Blu-Ray, is changed every week and features all exclusive Xtra-vision New Release titles that cannot be seen anywhere else, so customers will always have the latest movies at their fingertips.
The new machines were launched by model and TV personality Nadia Forde, and are already creating a lot of interest in stores.
Willie O’Byrne, Managing Director, BWG Foods, (owners and operators of the SPAR brand in Ireland) said: “This mutually beneficial partnership between SPAR and EUROSPAR, and Xtra-Vision, will present new growth opportunities and additional income streams for both parties. These vending machines will offer our retailers the opportunity to provide another service to shoppers which is very complimentary to our existing offer in terms of product range and from a customer point of view is a convenient and cost effective option for their entertainment needs.”
