Harrington’s EUROSPAR Kinsale officially opened its doors to the local community today with a celebration of family fun that included balloon making, face painting, magic tricks and music from the DJ.
Following a €100,000 investment in the premises, the new supermarket boasts a full Deli and Fruit and Veg section as well as a Tim Hortons coffee department, complete with in-store seating area.
The day was a wonderful opportunity for supermarket owner David Harrington and staff to meet and greet new customers and introduce a completely new shopping experience for the local community of Kinsale.
Speaking at the opening celebration, the owner David Harrington said: “We are thrilled to be opening our new supermarket which will place a big emphasis on serving the local community and supporting local Irish producers. It is our aim to deliver high quality, great value offerings and friendly service on a consistent basis. It has been great to meet new customers at the opening celebration giving us the opportunity to showcase our extensive product range and value deals, including our popular own brand range.”
Managing Director Willie O’Byrne at BWG Foods (owners and operators of the EUROSPAR brand in Ireland) said: “We are delighted to support David in opening EUROSPAR Kinsale and we know the supermarket will deliver great service and quality to the local community and surrounding areas. The supermarket looks fantastic and I’m sure customers will appreciate the new shopping experience on offer. This opening, and the consequent investment, is a significant vote of confidence in the area and we wish David and his team every success”.
EUROSPAR Kinsale will provide employment for 16 staff locally and is open from 7am to 11pm Monday to Sunday.
