Local Cash & Carry honoured at national Shelflife Grocery Retail Awards in Management (GRAM) awards
Keith Lane of Value Centre Drogheda won a sought after GRAM Award at the recent Shelflife awards ceremony, where he was named ‘Cash & Carry Manager of the Year 2014’.
The Shelflife GRAM awards are the only awards in the country that highlight exceptional grocery managers, and Keith said he was delighted to be chosen to receive the honour.
He said, “I’m so pleased to win, not just for myself, but for everyone in Value Centre Drogheda who supported me all the way. I’d like to thank my fantastic colleagues in-store, I couldn’t have done this without them.”
Only the cream of the crop can take home a coveted Shelflife GRAM award, with just 16 awards given out to retail managers across the entire country.
John Moane, Managing Director, Wholesale Division, BWG Foods (owners and operators of Value Centre in Ireland), said, “I would like to congratulate Keith and all the team at Value Centre Drogheda on his fantastic achievement in winning this award. To be singled out to receive a national award such as this shows the hard work and dedication to duty he brings to the business every day. We’re delighted to have him on the Value Centre team.”
Keith has been part of the BWG Foods group for 17 years, starting his career in Value Centre Dublin in 1997 before moving to Food Service. He has worked in Value Centre Drogheda for the past five years.
Value Centre has been operating in Drogheda since 2001 serving trade customers in Louth, Meath and North County Dublin. The branch employs 14 people.
