BWG Foods Celebrates Major Win at Spider Awards 2026 for SPAR & EUROSPAR ‘Breast Before Dates’ Campaign

BWG Foods is proud to announce that its SPAR and EUROSPAR brands have received the Best Influencer-Led Campaign Award at the prestigious Spider Awards 2026. This is in recognition of the impactful “Breast Before Dates” initiative that was delivered in partnership with the National Breast Cancer Research Institute.

The award-winning campaign was developed to encourage life-saving behavioural change by reminding shoppers of the importance of regular breast self-checks. The initiative featured on-pack stickers with QR codes placed on fresh products, which directed customers to a short instructional video outlining the steps involved in a self-check, alongside an option to set a monthly mobile reminder.

The campaign achieved strong engagement across digital platforms, generating more than 1.2 million views on Meta and 1.7 million impressions on TikTok. It was also supported by wellness coach, podcaster and breast cancer survivor Georgie Crawford, whose story and social media content played a central role in driving awareness and encouraging participation.
