MACE, Ireland’s longest serving convenience brand, has teamed up with Ireland Rugby star Johnny Sexton in an exciting new partnership. MACE stores are at the heart of the communities they serve and together with new brand ambassador, Johnny Sexton, a series of community initiatives will further strengthen these links.
MACE and Sexton have also teamed up on a new advertising and social media campaign, which will run nationwide, focusing on the fresh departments in store – deli, bakery and fresh foods.
Daniel O’Connell, MACE Sales Director said, “We are very excited to have Johnny signed up to be the face of MACE for the next two years. It is a major coup for the MACE Brand and we are thrilled that our work together will be community focused, encouraging children and families to lead a healthy, active lifestyle filled with acts of kindness.
“MACE retailers are very proud of how they contribute positively to the communities they serve, and Johnny also is a great role model for young people in communities all over Ireland.”
This Autumn, MACE is giving people the chance to win an exclusive training session with Johnny Sexton for their local school or rugby club.
For a chance to win this incredible prize, MACE wants you to go the Extra Smile and perform a random act of kindness in your local community, and tell us about it. Entries are open until November 7th. Please visit www.mace.ie for details on how to enter.
Speaking at the launch of the new partnership and community initiative, Johnny said, “I am really looking forward to seeing the wide range of thoughtful and spontaneous acts performed by people in communities all around the country. I am genuinely proud to be working with MACE in promoting this positive community initiative throughout every town and village in Ireland.”
“I am really looking forward to seeing the random acts of kindness performed in communities all around the country and am very proud to be associated with MACE for this initiative.”
Operated by independent retailers, MACE stores have been serving their local communities for more than 50 years, and with over 160 stores located around the country, the addition of Ireland’s most recognisable sport star will help create further awareness and strengthen the brand as well as supporting local communities.
*In order to win the prize your club/school must have suitable facilities to host the rugby training session with Johnny Sexton.
