EUROSPAR An Cheathrú Rua proudly hosted a Spinathon in-store on Friday, October 24th, raising an impressive €3,578.81 in aid of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI) as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The team at An Cheathrú Rua rallied the local community, colleagues and families to take part in the energetic fundraiser. Over 50 participants took to the bikes, each cycling for at least 15 minutes, creating a vibrant and uplifting atmosphere throughout the day.
“The store was buzzing with excitement from early on,” said Aodán Breathnach, owner and operator of EUROSPAR An Cheathrú Rua. “Once the spinning started, it mirrored the fun and energy of Christmas Eve. Everyone who came into the store seemed to get involved and support the cause.”
The event was a true community effort, with local support playing a key role in its success. The funds raised will go directly to supporting the vital work of EUROSPAR’s official charity partner, NBCRI, in advancing breast cancer research in Ireland.
