Ireland’s Fittest Family returns to RTÉ One on Sunday 2nd November 2025, proudly sponsored once again by leading community retailer Londis.
Now in its 13th season, one of the nation’s most loved family shows returns with an exciting new coaching line-up featuring Paralympic gold medalist Ellen Keane, former Dublin footballer and Player of the Year Michael Darragh MacAuley, and former Ireland rugby star Andrew Trimble, who join returning favourites Anna Geary, Donncha O’Callaghan, and show co-creator Davy Fitzgerald.
RTÉ 2FM’s Laura Fox also returns to host the hit show as families from across Ireland take on the country’s toughest challenges in their quest to be crowned Ireland’s Fittest Family 2025
This year marks Londis’ seventh consecutive season as proud sponsor of Ireland’s Fittest Family. Since 2019, Londis’ partnership with Ireland’s Fittest Family has embodied its “Local like you” brand ethos, celebrating families, teamwork and community spirit across the nation.
Over the course of the partnership, the show has featured more than 90 families representing 29 counties. Cork leads the way with the highest number of participating families on 12, followed closely by Dublin (8), Meath (6), Wicklow (6) and Wexford (6). When it comes to champions, Wexford have had the most success since 2019 with winners in seasons 8 and 9.
Veteran coach, Davy Fitzgerald, spoke at a Londis event to mark the start of the competition; “It’s great to have Ireland’s Fittest Family back for another year with our longstanding partner Londis on board for a seventh year and I want to thank all the Londis retailers for their ongoing support. I’m looking forward to some great competition from the families from across Ireland and all the excitement this season has in store. I’m also looking forward to renewing rivalries with Anna and Donncha and seeing what our new coaches Michael, Ellen and Andrew can bring to the show.”
